Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Protection Program Manager to provide world-class, discreet, and professional close protection services to C-level executives, board members, and high-profile personnel. This role will lead the tactical execution of personal security operations, including advance planning, travel protection, venue security, and threat response.
The ideal candidate is a physically fit and emotionally intelligent professional with deep experience in executive protection, a proactive mindset, and a strong ability to operate in dynamic, high-pressure environments while maintaining discretion and professionalism. This role will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, external agencies, and vendors to ensure seamless integration of personal security into business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide close protection and physical security to executives during travel, at corporate offices, residences, and public/private events.
- Conduct detailed advance work, site assessments, route planning, and venue security surveys to ensure safe and efficient movement of executives.
- Develop and implement tactical protection plans and risk mitigation strategies for all travel and event scenarios.
- Monitor and respond to real-time threats and situational intelligence using protective intelligence platforms and global risk feeds.
- Coordinate with corporate security, threat management, intelligence, logistics, legal, and external agencies as needed.
- Maintain and regularly update executive protection standard operating procedures (SOPs), travel protocols, and emergency response plans.
- Support international travel logistics including security briefings, customs coordination, aviation safety assessments, and secure transport planning.
- Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders and represent the executive protection team with professionalism and discretion.
- Manage third-party security vendors and contract agents as needed.
- Ensure equipment readiness and maintain proficiency in firearms, medical response, and defensive driving.
Qualifications
Physical & Professional Standards
- High level of physical fitness and stamina; must maintain a professional and service-oriented appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and demonstrate excellent judgment, discretion, and emotional intelligence in high-stress and rapidly evolving scenarios.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; must be able to tactfully influence, engage, and support executive stakeholders.
- Proven ability to de-escalate conflicts and manage sensitive or confidential situations with discretion and tact.
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or successful completion of a reputable Executive Protection Training Program.
- Prior law enforcement, military, or corporate executive protection experience strongly preferred.
- Valid (or ability to obtain):
- California BSIS Guard Card
- California BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
- California Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) Permit
- Advanced defensive driving certification and clean driving record required.
- Medical certification (First Responder, EMT, 18D, Paramedic, or Navy Corpsman) highly preferred.
Preferred Skills & Traits
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and anticipatory approach to executive protection.
- Demonstrated experience in managing vendors, coordinating multi-agency operations, and maintaining security standards across third-party teams.
- In-depth understanding of global security threats, including travel advisories, geopolitical risk, and threat intelligence assessments.
- Experience using threat intelligence platforms, travel risk management tools, and secure communication systems.

The Executive Protection Program Manager operates at the highest levels of the organization and must consistently demonstrate the utmost discretion, integrity, and respect for sensitive executive and company information.
For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $152,700 - $267,300, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
