Position Summary...

As a member of the Information Security (InfoSec) Global Tech Assurance team, you will be responsible for assisting in implementing the methodology and approach to proactively mitigate technology risk in high-risk operational areas.  You will work alongside other InfoSec teams to provide confidence that operational technology controls for new or modified solutions are properly designed to meet objectives and mitigate risk as they are integrated into the production environment.  It will be necessary to collaborate with Technical teams to ensure timely resolution of control design gaps.  You will provide as needed assistance to stakeholders for audit preparedness. As a functional leader, you will support the team's strategy development.

What you'll do...

As a Principal Risk Expert, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential control gaps in technology systems and processes.
  • Assist in creating strategies to fix any identified risks or control gaps.
  • Support the development and execution of methods to evaluate the design of technology controls to ensure they effectively mitigate the risk they are intended for. 
  • Work with technical teams to implement appropriate controls to mitigate risks and address control design gaps effectively.
  • Collaborate with the InfoSec Policy team to suggest changes to technology control policies based on new technologies.
  • Ensure cohesive implementation of technology controls or common controls through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to the development, improvement, and execution of common controls methods.
  • Maintain clear documentation of technology controls, risk assessments, and identified issues.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance existing controls and implement new solutions.
  • Guide and mentor team members to follow established practices for the delivery of technology control services, meeting quality, speed, innovation and create impact. 
  • Deliver regular updates and reports on the progress of technology control implementation projects, identified risks, control gaps, and outline corrective actions. 

What you’ll bring…

  • Experienced in assessing, designing, and implementing IT processes and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of IT standards and frameworks (COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL, etc.)
  • Efficient in resource organization, priority setting, and detailed project planning
  • Methodical and systematic problem-solving approach, combined with strong drive and initiative
  • Possess strong analytical skills to effectively identify and mitigate technology risks
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different teams
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and help develop a team
  • Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communication
  • Certified in a relevant risk field is a plus (CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, etc.)

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 5years’ experience in cybersecurity risk or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Option 2: 7 years’ experience in cybersecurity risk or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Certification in Security+, GISF, GSEC, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, or CISM, Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 3 years’ experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
