Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a highly motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in Linthicum, MD and Annapolis Junction, MD.  Please note that the selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, with time split between our Linthicum, MD and Annapolis Junction, MD campuses, and that this is not a remote work opportunity.  Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Monitor and respond to security vulnerabilities discovered during system scanning and configuration reviews.

  • Conduct security assessments of hardware and software requested for use on program networks.

  • Respond to Cybersecurity inquiries from technical and non-technical professionals.

  • Provide user training focused on Cybersecurity awareness, IA best practices, and new user onboarding.

  • Support secure account management processes and procedures.

  • Evaluate existing program security practices, recommending and implementing improvements to the security posture.

  • Interface with IT System Administrators to direct security remediation actions.

  • Support the Authorization process for systems at all stages of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).

  • Follow established processes to conduct security inspections on hardware before introduction into secure areas.

  • Support data movement between secure networks.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with 2 years experience, or an Associate's degree with 4 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 0 years of experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • The selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph as a condition of continued employment.

  • IAT Level II certification (ex. Security+CE), or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire date; maintaining the required certification will be a condition of continued employment.

  • Knowledge of maintaining compliance with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).

  • Experience providing cybersecurity guidance to technical implementers.

  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

  • IAT Level II certification.

  • Experience with assessing security controls as defined in NIST 800-53A.

Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $121,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
