Your Role

The Head of IT, Security and Compliance is responsible for management of IT infrastructure and ensuring the overall security, compliance, and privacy of the company's IT systems, data, and processes. This individual will lead the management and implementation of initiatives to safeguard the organization’s digital infrastructure. This position requires a strategic leader with deep knowledge of IT Infrastructure, cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, risk management, and budgeting within IT environments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of the organization’s Cybersecurity strategy to protect against cyber threats, data breaches, and other security risks.
  • Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of company data and information systems.
  • Develop and enforce policies, standards, and controls for security and data protection across the IT Infrastructure.
  • Implement a comprehensive security incident management framework to ensure timely detection, response, and remediation of security incidents.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, working closely with IT teams and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Maintain a robust governance framework for Cybersecurity and compliance and ensure ongoing monitoring and reporting.
  • Lead internal audits and collaborate with external auditors to ensure IT systems, processes, and controls meet required compliance standards.
  • Lead the organization’s privacy strategy, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and industry standards.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff at all levels regarding security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Champion the "Shift Left" security approach by integrating security practices early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC), promoting secure coding practices, and conducting regular code reviews and security testing.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the SDLC lifecycle, reducing vulnerabilities and enhancing proactive risk management.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness across all teams, empowering developers and other stakeholders to take ownership of security and contribute to the prevention of security issues.
  • Work closely with legal, compliance, and other departments to ensure the protection of personal and sensitive data across all business operations.
  • Govern and manage IT Operations across the organization

 

YOUR PROFILE

 To succeed in this role you :

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Have minimum 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity, compliance, and privacy, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Have relevant certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CSSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), and/or CIPP (Certified Information Privacy Professional) are highly preferred.
  • Have excellent understanding of Cybersecurity risks, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
  • Have a hands-on mindset, detail-oriented and analytical personality with a high affinity for technical systems
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
