Job Description
The Cybersecurity Engineer will be based in Houston and will report to the Vitol CISO. This role is crucial for ensuring the security and integrity of our global computing environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in network security, security architecture, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and security incident management. They will provide L2 and L3 support on security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain security architecture for on-premises environments.
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents and alerts, providing L2 and L3 support.
- Manage and operate vulnerability management tools and processes.
- Implement and manage identity and access management solutions.
- Collaborate in security incident management efforts, including investigation, mitigation, and reporting.
- Develop and maintain security documentation.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on network security, security architecture, and incident management.
- Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are required.
- Strong knowledge of best practices in modern security architectures, vulnerability management, and incident response.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and familiarity with networking and operating systems.
- Experience in a commodities trading environment is an advantage.
- Experience in DLP solutions and insider threat risks is a plus.
