Please note the posted salary range is based on the Orange County market and is subject to change based on the location of the candidate of choice.
This role supports JAMS' overall cybersecurity posture towards superior legal, compliance, business, and operational outcomes. This includes but is not limited to researching and designing, engineering, and implementing ongoing operations, as well as reporting for all functions within cybersecurity. Some specific areas of responsibility include identifying and account management, access controls, data protection, threat detection and response, cybersecurity operations, technical investigations, evidencing and reporting for compliance, applying security controls, practices, and procedures, and growing a healthy organizational culture around cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
Responsibilities
What you will do
- Designs and implements cyber solutions to meet business, compliance, and technical needs of the organization.
- Matures JAMS' cyber solution implementations to support efficient and effective cyber operations.
- Interfaces with technology vendors for awareness of emerging technologies, technology trends, and ways to improve the current technology stack.
- Creates and delivers reporting on current state or cyber security matters (including threat hunting, investigations, etc.). Creates and maintains technical documentation for cybersecurity solutions.
- Maintains Account and Access systems to support IAM, PAM, and IAG functions.
- Implements and maintains endpoint security (e.g., antivirus software and host-based intrusion detection, secure configuration, etc.).
- Implements and maintains network security controls based on NIST Standards and other requirements.
- Implements and maintains cloud security controls based on NIST Standards and other requirements.
- Implements and maintains data security controls based on NIST Standards and other requirements.
- Executes cyber operations, including Security Operations, SIEM and SOAR systems, and Incident Response.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline. Preferred
- 5+ years of working in technical security engineering or operations. Required
- 10+ years of working in information technology, if in lieu of security engineering. Recommended
- Comptia Security+ and/or CISSP certification. (Preferred proficiency)
- System Administrator certifications for Linux and Microsoft. (Preferred proficiency)
- Knowledge of and ability to administer network protocols and infrastructure. (Preferred proficiency)
- Demonstrated knowledge in programming or scripting language. (Preferred proficiency)
- Proficiency in systems security and compliance testing or penetration testing. (Plus proficiency)
- CompTIA Security+ Certification Upon Hire
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
