Job Summary

The DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust CI/CD and Security Automation pipeline. This role involves leveraging technologies such as GitLab, Kubernetes, AWS, and other essential components to ensure seamless deployment and security integration. The DevSecOps Engineer works closely with DevSecOps manager, development, operations, and security teams to align IT strategy with business objectives, driving best practices and innovation in deployment, infrastructure-as-code, and security automation.

You will

  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitLab and IAC tooling.
  • Container Orchestration: Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Utilize AWS services to build and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure.
  • Security Automation: Integrate security practices into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring automated security checks and compliance.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Capacity and Spend Management: Monitor and manage the capacity and cost of cloud infrastructure and services. Optimize resource utilization to ensure cost-effective operations while maintaining performance and scalability.
  • Disaster Recovery: Participate in design and deliver capabilities in the pipeline to meet need for resilient, robust, and recoverable workloads.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  • Incident Management: Respond to and resolve incidents related to the deployment pipeline and infrastructure.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the deployment pipeline, security practices, and infrastructure.

  • Complete other duties and functions as requested by leadership.

You have

  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner.
  • 3 Years experience with core DevSecOps Tools and Techniques:
    • CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Deployment) tools, such as Gitlab CI/CD
    • Cloud provisioning and management tools, such as Cloud Formation and Terraform
    • configuration management tools, such as Octopus
    • containerization technologies, such as Kubernetes
    • Static Application Security Testing
    • Dynamic Application Security Testing
  • Experience building and deploying cloud solutions using Amazon AWS platforms.
  • Experience using IAM to create and manage AWS users and groups, and use permissions to allow and deny access to AWS resources.
  • Developer background, coordinating with development teams and understanding deployment technologies.
  • Strong experience in programmatically configuring services for cloud and on-premise deployments.
  • Strong understanding of application and data security for cloud applications.
  • Experience deploying and supporting an AWS based cloud solutions using EC2, ELB, VPC, Glacier, API Gateway, IAM, CloudFormation, Fargate, SNS\SQS, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Elasticsearch and Gitlab.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft development environment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in Information Technology.
