What you will be doing:
The Cyber Security Engineer role comprises several functions related to enterprise cyber security services. This position is the subject matter expert in Cyber Security with in-depth knowledge of security principles, a wide range of security, network and computing technologies, enterprise-wide security administration, knowledge, and proficiency in the use of technical tools for vulnerability and penetration testing, knowledge and proficiency in firewall administration and forensic investigations. In addition, this position will educate technology peers on the various risks associated with cyber security concerns and communicate the same to leadership in forging a cyber-security strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations– 45%
Provide daily operational support to Premier’s cyber security services, including (but not limited to) email, application, mobile device, cloud, endpoint, and network security services
Risk Assessment/Mitigation – 35%
Perform reviews of current hardware, software, and firmware technologies for possible security vulnerabilities that impact the cyber security of Premier information assets.
Recommend risk mitigation techniques and appropriate configuration standards.
Evaluate and recommend firewall rules (new, modified and deleted) to ensure that Premier's firewall controls are configured and operating as expected.
Perform risk monitoring of critical and confidential infrastructure components to identify potential information security breaches.
Perform Incident response actions
Security Architecture – 10%
Perform assessments of proposed architectures and implementations affecting Premier applications and infrastructure
Corrective Action – 10%
Perform investigation and reporting of security violations of the Corporate Information Security Policies and Standards.
Participate with in-depth inquiries, assessing potential damage, and implementing corrective action.
Perform Incident handling and response of security violations based on predefined criteria and triggers
Required Qualifications
Work Experience:
