Job Description

Role Purpose

The role of the Senior Cyber Security Architect will be to lead our cybersecurity architecture and design as part of our secure-by-design strategy efforts. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security solutions that protect our IT infrastructure from all forms of cyber threats. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in cybersecurity system design and a proven track record of enhancing organizational security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and oversee the implementation of network and computer security for the organization.
• Develop a comprehensive IT security architecture strategy that aligns with organizational goals and risk tolerance.
• Lead security projects from conception to deployment, including technology selection and architectural design.
• Evaluate and implement new security technologies, driving continuous enhancement of security practices.
• Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; identify integration issues and provide appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols for security systems.
• Collaborate with the IT department to forecast future network needs and security solutions to ensure adequate protection of data assets.
• Serve as an expert advisor to senior management on a broad range of security issues affecting the organization's ability to protect its data and infrastructure.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity technologies and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance across all platforms.
• Mentor and lead teams of security professionals and IT staff.

Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills and Experience )

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in a cybersecurity role, with at least 5 years in a security architecture-focused position.
• Strong foundation in and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, authentication, and security protocols.
• Experience with cloud security, IoT, big data, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in relation to cybersecurity.
• Proficient in using architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or SABSA.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts and risks to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive security policies and procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, etc.

Defines and monitors adherence to architectural standards for the development, deployment and management of application, information, communication and technology infrastructure

Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture

Create/manage architecture storyboards/viewpoints that articulate business requirements.

Enterprise Infrastructure Modernization

Drive advances in technologies and architectures to increase the value delivered by technology and digital capabilities, either through improvements to the efficiency of the technology environment or through those that reduce the total cost of technology operations. Recommend and participate in activities related to the design, development, and maintenance of the digital capabilities within the enterprise architecture.

Analysis of "As Is" and "To Be"

Document complex "as is" and "to be" processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the "to be" capability to record accurately the change required.

Design and Conceptualization

Lead a collaborative digital product/service design process by gathering input across all product/service portfolios to define a design system that is viable and scalable, and that strengthens the brand. Lead a cross-portfolio, multidisciplinary team that contributes to the evolution of the system.

Horizon Scanning

Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.

Business Requirements Identification

Elicit complex business requirements using a variety of methods, such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis, to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.

Digital Vision and Strategy

Conceptualize elements of digital strategy and digital-enabled business change projects. Develop approaches to programmatically deliver successful digital innovation engagements.

Operational Compliance

Monitor and review performance and behaviors within area of responsibility to identify and resolve noncompliance with the organization's policies and relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct.

Personal Capability Building

Act as subject matter expert in an area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the team. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
