Intern - Information Technology SG

Responsibilities:

IT Security Engineering Support:

• Assist in monitoring and managing the security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and endpoint protection tools.
• Help with vulnerability scanning, patch management, and remediation efforts for various systems and applications.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and testing of security solutions.
• Participate in security incident investigations and post-mortem analysis.
   

IT Security Advisory Support:

• Help with risk assessments and security audits of IT systems, networks, and applications.
• Support the creation and review of security policies, standards, and guidelines.
• Assist in the development of security awareness programs and training materials for employees.
• Assist with ongoing cybersecurity compliance activities, including data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Collaborative Projects:

• Work closely with team members on security initiatives, including threat intelligence, secure software development lifecycle (SDLC), and cloud security best practices.
• Contribute to reports, presentations, and documentation for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Attend team meetings and contribute to ongoing cybersecurity discussions and decision-making.

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Cyber Security / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / information systems / Engineering domain
• Hands on experience with Cyber Security tools, Public Cloud technologies or willingness to rapidly pick up.
• Hands on Coding and scripting experience using python or any scripting language
• Exposure Cyber Security is preferred
• Positive attitude, a good team player & Willingness to learn
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Participation in relevant IT Department meetings;
• Able to commit on a full time internship basis for a minimum of 6 months
