IT Security Analyst

The Security Analyst’s role is to analyze the organization’s security infrastructure according to best practices, while ensuring high levels of data quality and availability. This individual will develop, implement, and oversee policies and procedures to ensure a secure environment consistent with ISO 27002,SOX, and other regulatory compliance.

 

 

1. Documentation and Creation of Information Security System Administration procedures.
2. Perform network security assessment, risk assessment, and vulnerability testing.
3. Securely implement the addition of new network components.
4. Vulnerability Management and Remediation: Review current environment for vulnerability exposure and emerging threats and manage remediation cycles.
5. Monitor and investigate potential Information Security breaches.
6. Participate in investigations of SIEM items to determine root source and validity of reported events.
7. Proactively identifies or rapidly responds to customer security issues.
8. Applies extensive technical expertise in the management of security tools and remediation of security events/incidents.
9. Provide technical assessment of the security impacts from changes to operational networks.
10. Develop secure network architectures, requirements, operational concepts, and security accreditation plans and procedures.
11. Evaluate new hardware and software technology as it applies to information security.
12. Interact regularly with technical teams on compliance.
13. Participate in IT security incident response.

• 5 to 7 Years of experience in Information Security 
• Experience administering data antivirus solutions; Symantec, McAfee, CA. 
• Experience administering Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS/IPS. 
• Experience administering Firewalls 
• Experience with Network traffic analysis tools; Wireshack, ArcSight etc. 
• Sound Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects 
• Solid understanding/troubleshooting of TCP/IP

• Proven analytical, strategic vision drawing on strong problem-solving abilities. 
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. 
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. 
• Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language appropriate to both executive and managerial audiences. 
• Highly self motivated and directed. 
• Keen attention to detail. 
• Skilled in working within a team-oriented, collaborative environment. 

 

This is a Hybrid onsite arrangement and will working 3 days onsite each week from Headquarters in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
