Ultraviolet Cyber is seeking a talented AI Cloud Engineer to join our team for hybrid work in Arlington, VA. You will play a pivotal role in our organization's cloud strategy by leveraging cloud technologies to build, deploy, and manage AI and machine learning solutions. You will collaborate with our developers and cloud architects to ensure that our AI initiatives are scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with business goals.  The role will support a federal agency and require US Citizenship and a Federal background investigation.  Hybrid Schedule, Partial Telework: This position requires 1 day per week in Arlington, VA. 
No third-party candidates will be considered. 

What You'll Do:

• The position will require 2-3 days per week onsite in Arlington, VA

AI Solution Development:
• Solution Design: Collaborate with data scientists and AI experts to design scalable and efficient AI solutions on cloud platforms. 
• Model Training: Implement and manage cloud-based infrastructure for AI model training, ensuring optimization for performance and cost. 
• Model Deployment: Deploy machine learning models in cloud environments and set up scalable, production-ready deployment pipelines. 
• Data Pipelines: Build and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes for AI and machine learning workloads. 

Cloud Integration: 
• Cloud Platform Selection: Choose the appropriate cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and services to support AI initiatives. 
• Serverless and Containers: Utilize serverless computing and containerization technologies for AI workloads as needed. 
• Integration: Integrate AI solutions with existing cloud infrastructure, applications, and services. 

Performance and Optimization: 
• Scalability: Ensure AI solutions can scale seamlessly in response to changing workloads and data volumes. 
• Cost Management: Optimize cloud resources to minimize costs while maintaining AI performance and reliability. 

AI Governance and Security: 
• Data Security: Implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive AI data and models. 
• AI Ethics: Ensure AI solutions adhere to ethical standards and compliance requirements. 
• Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring and logging systems to track AI model performance and troubleshoot issues. 

Documentation and Collaboration: 
• Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for AI solutions, including architecture diagrams and best practices. 
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with data scientists, cloud architects, developers, and business stakeholders to align AI initiatives with business objectives. 

What You've Done:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (Master's degree preferred). 
• Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer, with a focus on AI and machine learning. 
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). 
• Proficiency in AI and machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). 
• Experience with AI model deployment and serving frameworks (e.g., SageMaker, Azure ML). 
• Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, or similar). 
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner) and AI-related certifications are a plus. 
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. 
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and translate business needs into technical solutions. 
• US Citizenship Required  
• Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors.
