Akamai's Information Security team is responsible for safeguarding Akamai, its customers, and the Internet worldwide. Akamai is seeking a Security Engineer Intern to join its cutting-edge InfoSec Security Engineering team.

As a participant in our program, you will gain valuable experience and contribute through meaningful project work. You will have the opportunity to join us for training, networking events, and engagements with company leadership. Our internships are open to students and graduates.

Start: July 1st
Duration: 6 months
Salary: 45 PLN gross/h

Partner with the best

In this role, you can expect to work within a team to protect Akamai resources from various threats or malicious activity. You'll work with various leaders within other internal teams to understand their systems and requirements, and then provide guidance on implementing Akamai security tools.

As a Security Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Analyzing internal teams' security needs and providing recommendations.
• Researching, developing, or implementing data lake solutions, tooling to detect and respond to threats, or improving team efficiency
• Conducting zero trust and log analysis, incident analysis, and traffic analysis.
• Assisting with intrusion detection and incident response

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Be currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Cybersecurity or a related field.
• Have experience working with Linux (Mac and Windows a plus)
• Have familiarity with any of the following languages: Python, Java, shell scripting.
• Possess a functional awareness of TCP/IP concepts
• Have an avid interest in application and/or network security

Work in a way that works for you

Our 6-month interm program starts in July. The program requires you to be available 40 hours per week during summer months (July-September). We offer the opportunity to work part-time during the academic year (October-December).
