Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Engineer to support an intelligence agency’s CIO organization. This role involves driving technical initiatives in project planning, program assessment, decision management, lifecycle readiness, risk and schedule management, configuration and information management, performance measurement, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless program execution, mitigate risks, and enhance IT resiliency through strategic oversight and coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Lead system engineering planning, ensuring projects align with organizational goals and customer needs.
  • Monitor and assess program performance, addressing risks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support decision-making through data-driven insights and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Manage system readiness throughout its lifecycle, ensuring smooth operational deployment.
  • Oversee risk and opportunity management, tracking and resolving issues proactively.
  • Develop and maintain integrated schedules to align project milestones and resources.
  • Ensure consistent configuration management for system components and documentation.
  • Manage technical information flow, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate system success.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives and ensure IT resiliency through best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar).
  • 12+ years of experience in system engineering with expertise in project planning, assessment, and control.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Strong background in risk, issue, and opportunity management.
  • Proficiency in configuration management, information management, and performance measurement.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and IT resiliency strategies.
  • Expertise in lifecycle management for complex systems.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant STEM field with 10+ years of experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP).
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
