What You'll Do:

As a Senior Manager Information Security, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, managing security operations/forensics, and facilities security You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life. The role is responsible for hands on technical leadership including developing and implementing security strategies, polices, and procedures to protect information assets and technology infrastructure, and effectively responding to cybersecurity incidents involving network intrusion, insider threat, intellectual property theft, and similar cybercrimes.  This role will need strong technical knowledge of Threat Intelligence, attack Techniques and Chemical sector specific threats.

 

The role is globally focused with a scope of all Lubrizol operations.  Role will need financial acumen to manage a large chunk of the cyber budget.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Stays updated on the latest security threats, technologies, and industry trends, and leads efforts to establish and implement functional strategies that are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Establish and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and capability assessments to protect against and respond to security incidents.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement appropriate remediation measures.
  • Technical Hands-on Leadership and management of teams of security professionals, providing coaching, mentoring and development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including vendors, partners, and regulatory bodies) to ensure awareness of current industry trends, relevant security standards, and regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management on the status of the security programs.
  • Represent Lubrizol with outside organizations, including ACC, FBI, DHS etc.
  • Hold a US DHS Security Clearance

 

Critical Competencies and Experience:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple talks and projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Sound decision-making, proactive/creative problem solving and strategic thinking skills. 
  • Excellent leadership and management skill, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
  • Understanding of a broad set of security technologies and tools (e.g. firewalls, intrusion detections/prevention systems, vulnerability management systems, SIEM, etc.
  • Technical abilities in the above is key
  • Experience with both IT and OT environments         
  • Experience in developing and implementing information security strategies and programs.
  • Experience investigating cyber attacks
  • Experience leading SOC teams and helping to detail detection strategies

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
  • 10+ experience leading SOC teams, Threat Intelligence or other reactive areas of security
  • 5+Hands on experience investigating cyber attacks
  • Understanding of information security best practices, standards, and frameworks (e.g. NIST CSF)
  • Understanding of SOC and Forensics as it relates to the chemical sector

 

Considered a Plus:

  • Master’s degree
  • Former Military Experience
  • Certified Information Systems Professional (CICSP) or other relevant certifications.
  • Hold a US DHS Security Clearance
