Job Description
Team
ServiceNow’s Global Security Support Center (GSSC) team leverages its diverse, highly skilled security background and expertise to help enhance ServiceNow’s internal and external security program and communicate ServiceNow’s commitment to security to the world. The global team works closely with other components within ServiceNow on security-related topics and directly interfaces with ServiceNow customers.
Role
This critical position values integrity, quality, expertise, precision, communication, and efficiency and is looking for security professionals with developing to established security backgrounds and excellent communications.
The successful candidate will bring a new perspective to ServiceNow and its ecosystem and will be able to successfully work together with audiences ranging from technical developers to customers.
What you get to do in this role:
- Represent security organization in customer-facing Security Incidents, Tasks, Issues, questions & calls related to Security & Privacy
- Customer Outreach Communications on Security & escalation handling
- Provide Customer Support regarding Customer Pentest
- Investigate/research/validate customer-reported security findings
- Open defects within internal development teams
- Facilitate the successful workflow/triage of security-related incidents/tasks by interacting with customers, various security teams, and other internal ServiceNow teams as needed.
- Training, support & enablement to ServiceNow Support organization and other internal Teams
- Generate customer-facing communications (i.e., Knowledge-Based articles)
- Work with Legal on security/privacy-related matters
- Multiple On-the-Job training resources available
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- 5+ years working in the field of security.
- Developer-level proficiency in a least one programming language – Java or JavaScript preferred.
- Strong understanding of web and mobile application security assessment techniques and tools
- Ability to review and understand source code to isolate the root cause of vulnerabilities.
- In-depth understanding of common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top Ten) & mitigation strategies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with the following tools and systems:
- Web Proxies (Burp Suite, ZAP (OWASP ZAP), Fiddler, etc.)
- Browser development tools (console, network, debugger)
- Software version control systems & source code searching tools.
- ServiceNow platform experience is not required, but beneficial
