Binary Defense is seeking a Director of Product Management (Cybersecurity Platforms) to oversee the product team and strategic roadmap. The position will have the added responsibility of leading the ongoing roadmap of supported technologies for our service portfolio and ensuring alignment across the organization. 


The successful candidate will act as the voice of the customer while also working with internal teams to scope, structure, refine, and lead execution of product and enabling technology deliverables. This role will have direct reports comprising of the current Product Management team and will grow as our product and services portfolio expands. By ensuring continuity across internal groups and products, this role will help our company make the world a safer place for our customers and our partners around the globe who count on Binary Defense every minute of every day.


Key Responsibilities


  • Own the Product Vision, Strategy and Roadmap for Binary Defense products and services including both customer facing product and operations enabling technology.
  • Work with other leaders in the organization to ensure priorities are clear and roadmaps across teams are aligned. 
  • Lead a high performing, innovative and impactful product team.
  • Understand technology and cybersecurity trends to inform strategy and roadmap development. 
  • Deeply understand competitor offerings and define opportunities for differentiation.
  • Ensure teams are focused on incremental delivery of customer value.
  • Track, refine, and communicate progress against established business goals and priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive products and features from concept to launch in a mission-critical cybersecurity environment.
  • Be the internal subject matter expert to represent the product and technology capabilities across the organization and with customers.
  • Understand and be able to translate complicated technical requirements.
  • Define, develop and maintains appropriate metrics and success criteria to measure post-launch product performance and delivered outcomes.

Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
  • At least 5 years in a Product Leadership role for a cybersecurity company. Ideally, with previous experience with various security platforms (SIEMs, EDRs, SOARs, etc.).
  • Strong technical background and able to flourish in the complex world of cybersecurity products and services.
  • Pragmatic understanding of what modern Agile principles accomplish and how and why they work.
  • Established background in launching enterprise software and services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency in iterative development workflows.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technology solutions with an outcome-based, customer-first mindset.
  • Demonstrated success working in a remote environment with distributed teams.

  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent time and project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Not afraid to ask the hard questions in service of the product vision to ensure alignment and successful product outcomes.
  • Able to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to foster collaboration – but you will also roll up your sleeves to help your team push a project across the finish line when the time comes.
  • Brings a strong toolbox of knowledge, past experiences, and resourcefulness to the table. You understand success, you’ve experienced failure, and you have learned lessons from each situation that allows you to evolve on-the-fly in the face of change.
