About the Role: As a Principal Security Engineer at Dun and Bradstreet you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of our data and systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures to protect our data assets while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure and compliant environment.  This is a hands-on position and will require strong documentation and diagramming skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with D&B architects to add in security items as needed
• Serve as lead on D&B’s data security program.
• Work with various data classifications and make sure they are handled according to policy.
• Use native and 3rd party encryption products to handle the different data classifications securely.
• Leverage your deep knowledge of data security to assess and enhance the security posture of our infrastructure.
• Stay up to date with security best practices and recommend improvements to keep our environment secure.
• Assist in achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) by implementing necessary security controls and documentation.
• Mentor and cross train other team members on security best practices.

Key Requirements:

• ·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• ·       Proven experience as a Data/Security Engineer, with a strong emphasis on data security and IaC tools like Terraform.
• ·       Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.
• ·       Comprehensive understanding of security principles, best practices, and compliance frameworks.
• ·       Hands-on experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP).
• ·       Demonstrated proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.).
• ·       Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.
• ·       Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• ·       Experience with different databases.
• ·       Experience with the Protegrity suite of encryption products is a plus.
