Position Overview
Are you passionate about cybersecurity and eager to make a significant impact on corporate systems and data security? We are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Supervisor, Corporate Cybersecurity. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and executing cutting-edge cybersecurity strategies, ensuring the highest standards of corporate protection, and leading transformative projects that enhance our organizational capabilities.
You will act as a customer advocate, championing robust security measures and fostering effective communication strategies. You will collaborate with various business areas, maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors, and stay ahead of industry trends to protect our customers from emerging threats.
As a key player in our cybersecurity team, you will lead and oversee the functional and technical aspects of corporate systems and data security. Your responsibilities with include enhancing customer security awareness and communication, promoting employee awareness, and maintaining enterprise and corporate cybersecurity to align with our organization's overall business strategy, priorities, goals, and objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and deliver programs to enhance employee awareness and skills related to existing and emerging security threats. Provide specialized training for employees who may interact with customers. Establish strong working relationships with direct reports and company leadership and partner with other business teams.
- Apply knowledge and future vision of cybersecurity, leveraging current and emerging technologies. Serve as a subject matter expert across multiple programs. Lead project management and system sustainment to ensure solutions exceed business expectations.
- Track and report on security compromises. Develop customer communication strategies for personal security practices.
- Align corporate systems enhancements with business priorities and cybersecurity objectives.
- Supervise the creation and maintenance of cybersecurity strategies, policies, and procedures.
What it takes:
- A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science or equivalent from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- A minimum of 4-7 years of directly related experience.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage and work with various groups.
- Experience as a project manager or expertise in the development and implementation of related projects
In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
