Responsibilities
Our client is looking for a Fidelis Cyber Security Engineer to join their team! In this role, you will work individually or in a small integrated team to develop innovative solutions to enable secure and reliable operations of enterprise computer systems. You will develop new concepts and processes, analyze root causes, and resolve complex issues utilizing your knowledge of industry practices. Responsibilities include performing systems administration of cyber toolsets and server systems connected to networks across multiple classification domains, supporting both developmental and operational systems, monitoring and resolving client/server/storage/network issues, and managing operating system and application software as necessary. You will support both Linux and Windows systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, and system administration.
Develop innovative solutions to enable secure and reliable operations of enterprise computer systems
Develop new concepts and processes, analyze root causes, and resolve complex issues
Perform systems administration of cyber tools sets and server systems connected to networks across multiple classification domains
Provide support to developmental and operational systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices
Install, configure, and manage operating system and application software as necessary
Support Linux and Windows systems engineering efforts in system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration
Requirements
- A High school diploma or GED and 7+ years of relevant experience OR Associate’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
Experience with installing/configuring devices, applications, and security tools including Fidelis
Ability to analyze and respond to Fidelis system logs, security logs, and other events to troubleshoot Fidelis appliance stack and network issues
Experience maintaining, engineering, deploying, and configuring Fidelis DLP & XPS appliances, such as DirectSensor 10G, Mail DLP, and CommandPost through both iLO and directly via SSH or Console Port
Experience with operating and maintaining Linux servers including operating systems, applications, patching, and updates
Experience with basic Linux server command line usage and ability to perform Linux OS updates and upgrades remotely via SSH
Preferred Requirements
Experience with operating and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Linux servers
Prior experience as a SOC analyst, Hunt analyst, or DLP analyst, or experience using Fidelis DLP in an administrative and monitoring capacity
Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework
Experience automating deployments and configuration management
Experience as a network administrator or systems engineer
Experience in using Active Directory to manage Windows policies
Knowledge of different layers of the technology stack including network, application frameworks, database systems, and vendor solutions
Knowledge of Git and Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence, and Microsoft Visio (or similar tools) for graphic and flowchart design
Education/Certification Requirements
- Must have or obtain 10+ hours of Fidelis training, current within the last 12 months, with a completion certificate (Udemy or self-paced training acceptable)
Active DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification, including Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) - Infrastructure Support (IS) certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND prior to start date
Clearance Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; an active TS/SCI clearance is required. Please be aware that onboarding can take 4-6 weeks for this position.
