Senior Systems Engineer

Job Description

NetImpact Strategies, Inc. is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer to support a Federal Agency.

This role is located 100% onsite in Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Candidate must be eligible for a Secret Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and document the design, testing, and integration of infrastructure platforms based on organizational requirements.
• Coordinate platform changes and evaluate emerging technologies, making recommendations for upgrades and product selection.
• Assist with infrastructure modeling and complex troubleshooting, recommending new technologies and coordinating vendor support.
• Plan and implement security measures to safeguard infrastructure platforms, optimizing performance and applying updates.
• Provide day-to-day support for infrastructure platforms, including LAN, WLAN, and WAN troubleshooting.
• Manage user accounts in Active Directory and document service requests for timely resolution.
• Deploy and maintain computer systems and peripherals, providing on-site hardware support and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and maintain network devices to support voice and data infrastructure, ensuring system reliability.
• Provide hardware support for telecommunication systems, including phones, pagers, ACD, and nurse call systems.
• Track device usage and implement workflows for communication solutions in medical and clinical settings.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Certifications

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
• Master’s degree and/or equivalency.
• Candidate must be eligible for a Secret Clearance.
• IAT III certification compliant with DoD 8570.01-M requirements. (CASP CE, CISA, CISSP, (or Associate), GCED, CCNP Security, GCIH)
• CE: Professional (or expert) level certificate.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications

• Previous Federal Consulting Experience.
• Expertise in evaluating and implementing cutting-edge infrastructure technologies.
• Leadership experience in managing large-scale technology projects.
• Additional advanced certifications in infrastructure or security technologies.
• Familiarity with Federal or DoD systems and operational environments.
