Project Manager - EY Global Delivery Services

The opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will responsible for delivering Information Security IT projects to schedule, budget and quality.  This role requires requires technical knowledge of project management inter-related process stages i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close, and the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management. The project manager must have strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities to successfully lead and manage the project team and project stakeholders.

This role will be in the Information Security Management Services team of the Enterprise Security Program portfolio. 

Your key responsibilities

Project Planning and Control

1. Assist in the development of project plans, including defining project scope and deliverables
2. Coordinate project activities and ensure adherence to project schedules and timelines
3. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
4. Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records
5. Support the project team in meeting project objectives and delivering quality results
6. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members

Resource Management

1. Demonstrate control over the project resource plan
2. Ensure actual work matches the planned effort
3. Actively maintain resource requests and allocations

Forecasting and Financial Control

1. Maintain accurate project financial forecasts
2. Ensure adherence to the approved project budget

Deliverable Quality

1. Ensure project deliverables are fit for purpose

Risk and Issue Management

1. Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues, escalating where necessary
2. Regularly maintain RAID logs so they can be referenced by any stakeholder
3. Ensure projects are 100% compliant with EY and Information Security delivery standards

Skills and attributes for success

• Experience specifically managing Information Security projects with personal accountability for delivering to time and cost for small to medium-sized projects up to $500k in value and as many as 6 to 8 months in duration
• Solid understanding of project management methodology, tools and templates (includes project planning, schedule development, scope management, time management, and cost management)
• Track record of customer focus, based on openness, trust, and delivering on promises
• IT background with experience across the systems development life cycle with experience in all project phases – plan, initiate, elaborate, design, build, test, implement
• Strong team working skills across matrixed client, supplier, and geographically dispersed virtual teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing

To qualify for the role you must have

• 3 to 5 years in a corporate IT environment
• 2 to 4 years’ experience in project management

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience delivering projects in an EY project management role (InfoSec domain highly preferred)
• Project management certification is highly preferred (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2)
• Familiarity with ITIL v2 or 3 would be advantageous
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) certifications, or other Information Security related a plus
