The Multi-domain Solutions Division (MDS) within the Leidos National Security Sector is seeking a skilled Service Operations Engineer to join a new cyber security program and play a key role in supporting government-critical systems. You will be part of a program that oversees development, integration, delivery, and operations and maintenance of IT managed security services, which encompasses support to monitor the cybersecurity threat and security posture situational awareness for the enterprise. This opportunity is in anticipation of a future contract award!
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensure the functionality, security, and quality of cybersecurity systems and solutions within a DoD or enterprise environment.
- Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive testing strategies to validate system performance, security, and compliance.
- Work collaboratively with cybersecurity, development, and program management teams to support mission-critical objectives while adhering to stringent quality standards.
- Develop and document test plans, test cases, and test scripts for validating cybersecurity system functionality, security, and performance.
- Define test objectives, criteria, and schedules in alignment with project requirements and deadlines.
- Validate system configurations, software updates, and hardware changes to ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and standards.
- Identify, document, and track defects or issues discovered during testing, ensuring timely resolution.
- Work with development and engineering teams to validate fixes and improvements.
- Establish and maintain QA processes and standards for the cybersecurity program.
- Conduct reviews of system documentation, code, and configurations to ensure compliance with security and quality requirements.
- Prepare test reports, including findings, recommendations, and metrics, to communicate results to stakeholders.
- Maintain thorough documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results to support audits and accreditation efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including cybersecurity, development, systems integration, and program management to support system delivery.
- Provide recommendations for improving the quality, security, and performance of systems and solutions.
What does Leidos need from me?
- Active Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph security clearance required. Must be U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor's and 4 to 8 years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 2 to 6 years of prior relevant experience. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Favorable if you have:
- Strong knowledge of DoD cybersecurity standards and frameworks, such as DevSecOps.
- Experience with testing and QA tools (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Postman, Nessus, Metasploit).
- Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, PowerShell) for test automation and secure coding.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570 certification.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Familiarity with Agile or DevSecOps methodologies is a plus.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
