About The RoleAn Integral member of our Security team focused on securing the PEXA platform and ensuring the services and platforms are the leaders in the industry

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with multiple PEXA teams such as Cloud, Network, IT and third-party providers to ensure the identification and mitigation of vulnerabilities within the environment. 
  • Configure and schedule network and application vulnerability assessments using a combination of scanning tools 
  • Ensure accurate vulnerability results are generated.
  • Collecting, analyzing, interpreting, evaluating, and integrating complex data from multiple sources to ensure an accurate intelligence is provided on where PEXA sits in the current threat landscape. 
  • Work with our teams in driving forward the operability of the platform by determining which controls to add, delete or change based on assessment results in line with monthly patching schedules, correlate with vendor patch bulletins, progress meetings etc.
  • Work with our teams to ensure necessary patching is completed to mitigate against identified vulnerabilities in line with regular patching cycles. 
  • Troubleshooting issues that arise from vulnerability scanning/assessments and reduce number of false positives being reported.
  • Developing and maintaining documentation supporting Vulnerability Management processes
  • Providing monthly reporting on vulnerability assessment activities 

Skills and Experience

  • Hands on experience with Vulnerability Management/Scanning tools such as Tenable or Prisma Cloud desired.  
  • A good understanding of network and application development along with database administration
  • Cloud Networking
  • Cloud Security – specifically AWS, or desired Azure
  • Experience on Security configuration reviews, desired
  • Strong familiarity with risk-based vulnerability ratings
  • Knowledge on AWS Cloud platform is beneficial
  • Knowledge on secure code review is benefit
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, and container security

Key Attributes

  • Ability to articulate the impact of known vulnerabilities within the environment should they be exploited.
  • Keeping teams accountable to remediate in line with the vulnerability management framework.
  • Experience working in fast paced environments, and ability manage workload even during times of stress or escalated activity
  • Strong collaborative skills and proven ability to work in a diverse team of security professionals
  • Willing to perform hands-on work with the team
  • Comfortable with impromptu tasking
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
