Manager Compliance/Risk Management
Introduction to the Team
The Compliance & Risk Management Team plays a critical role by partnering with the business to provide oversight and guidance on compliance matters, particularly related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls.
This team is also a trusted advisor to the business and are engaged in key strategic projects to advise on controls and process improvements to reduce our overall risk posture.
The Manager Compliance/Risk Management role sits withing the Finance organization, bringing a strategic mindset, a deep understanding of risk management frameworks, and the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.
In this role, you will lead a team to:
- Internal Controls & Process Improvement: Evaluate the effectiveness of existing internal controls, recommend enhancements, and support process owners in implementing best practices.
- Audit & Regulatory Support: Serve as a liaison between business units, internal auditors, and external auditors to facilitate audits, address findings, and ensure timely remediation of identified gaps.
- Business Partnership: Collaborate closely with business leaders and operational teams to integrate compliance controls into business processes. Provide guidance on control design and process improvements.
- Training & Awareness: Conduct training and awareness programs to educate employees on compliance requirements, SOX controls, and risk management strategies
Experience and Qualifications:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (CIA, CPA, CISA, OSCP, CCSK, CISM, CISSP, CDPSE, IAPP, CRISC or similar)
- Preferred: You have 5+ years’ experience with 1-3+ years people management experience
- You have experience in understanding, developing, interpreting process models, flowcharts, and narratives.
- You can demonstrate a deep understanding of the financial, operational, and technical impact of decisions/solutions to drive projects and analyses that support the organization’s mission.
- You can operate as a subject matter expert to advise business leadership on development of mitigation and compliance strategies to meet regulatory requirements
