With an emphasis on engineering and defense contracts, DESE has supported Huntsville and the US...DESE Research, Inc. is seeking a talented, motivated, and enthusiastic Threat Intelligence Analyst to add to our team. The candidate will serve as the team's Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team providing in-depth threat analysis to the Army in Huntsville, AL. This position will provide support in developing and integrating an Information Advantage (IA) Threat Emulation System.
Responsibilities in this role include identifying system functionality and critical components by analyzing and decomposing complex systems from documentation as well as input from engineering subject matter experts. The candidate will work as part of a small team in conducting research and identifying areas of risks, threats, and vulnerabilities associated with a supported program. These assessments will be compiled and presented to Army customer(s). To be successful in this role, the candidate will need knowledge and understanding of intelligence analysis and operational security practices.
- Identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the security of sensitive Army operations (OPSEC).
- Research and identify critical information and activities.
- Analyze potential weaknesses in OPSEC practices.
- Simulate Threat information warfare (cyberspace operations, electromagnetic, asymmetric, sabotage)
- Map inherent informational aspects and system vulnerabilities using open-source (PAI/CAI) and system architecture data
- Design information payloads to simulate degradation, destruction and disrupting data flow, decision-making, C2 resilience, and system behavior under information warfare conditions
- Evaluate the potential impact of threats and vulnerabilities.
- Prepare multi-disciplinary reports, incorporating data from disparate groups and organizations into a cohesive narrative.
- Prepare presentation materials to brief significant assessment findings in-person and via video conference settings.
- Provide insight into opportunities for process improvements.

Minimum Security Clearance: Current Secret
Desired Security Clearance: Current TS//SCI
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
Required Qualifications:
- Five years of related work experience with four being directly related to intelligence analysis, operational security, or Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection.
- Excellent verbal presentation and written communication skills, including excellent competency using Microsoft Office Applications.
- Strong ability and interest to grasp new knowledge and skills through independent research and study.
