Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in information security and cloud engineering.
  • Experience documenting project requirements that define scope, schedule and technical deliverables.
  • Experience designing and implementing Cloud based architectures, complete with migration approaches and system optimization details.
  • Active Top Secret US Government Security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise security controls in on-premises and cloud infrastructures, Zero Trust Architecture, Secure Enterprise Platforms Architecture, Identity providers such as, Google Cloud Platform and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience in one or more of the following information security domains: Incident Response, Security Operations, Threat Intelligence, Cloud Security, Enterprise Architecture.
  • Ability to understand, assess and deploy ‘infrastructure as code’ for cloud customers.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop documentation and explain technical details in a concise manner.
  • Interest in applying security to Cloud products intended for government customers.

About the job

As a Security Consultant, you will be responsible for helping clients effectively prepare for, proactively mitigate, and detect and respond to cyber security threats. Security Consultants have an understanding of computer science, operating system functionality and networking, cloud services, corporate network environments and how to apply this knowledge to cyber security threats.

As a Security Consultant, you could work on engagements including assisting clients in navigating technically complex and high-profile incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, and malware triage. You may also test client networks, applications and devices by emulating the latest techniques to help them defend against threats, and will be the technical advocate for information security requirements and provide an in-depth understanding of the information security domain. You will also articulate and present complex concepts to business stakeholders, executive leadership, and technical contributors and successfully lead complex engagements alongside cross functional teams.

Conduct enterprise architecture and cloud platform assessments, in collaboration with internal and customer teams, to support incident response investigations and security assessment engagements. Build scripts, tools, or methodologies to enhance Mandiant's on-premise Active Directory and/or Cloud assessment processes that can be applied to current and future engagements. Develop and present comprehensive and accurate reports, training, and presentations for technical and executive audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$194,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable cloud architectures that optimize infrastructure operations across multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments.
  • Implement cloud solutions to work on complex regulatory requirements of government customers.
  • Perform security and compliance assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and recommendation remediation strategies.
  • Work with government cloud customers (GCP) to fortify their cloud architectures against potential threats and disruptions, ensuring continuity and reliability.
  • Partner with other engineering teams to support software, tool or process development that improves technical security postures, or assessment methodologies.
