Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in law enforcement, intelligence or a military role, or equivalent private sector experience.
  • Experience with open source intelligence tools and methods, analysis and the fusion of all source intelligence into actionable insights.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Understanding of global geopolitical trends and emerging threats and risks.
  • Understanding of threat types and trends.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, with high ethical standards.
  • Excellent investigative, and communication skills with the ability to take initiative while building cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy, with written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking and decision making skills.

From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $102,000-$146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Collect, evaluate, escalate, and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood.
  • Provide intelligence support to the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in incident response, crisis management, and global travel management.
  • Use open source material to find, research, and assess information that could indicate a potential concern to Google, the employees, and interests. 
  • Collect, evaluate, escalate, and disseminate intelligence to support action plans based on credibility and likelihood.
  • Support in the development of protocols and practices to assess and mitigate issues to Google, to drive efficiency, and to manage crises.
