Rhino Entertainment is a rapidly expanding online gaming operator, employing a multi-brand strategy and managing 4 brands in prominent, reputable markets.At Rhino Entertainment, we are looking for an experienced and committed Head of Compliance, you will take the lead in driving the compliance function and overseeing operational compliance teams, ensuring alignment of practices and processes across multiple markets and verticals for consistency and effectiveness. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and promoting a comprehensive framework of internal policies and procedures, ensuring they are kept up to date, adhered to, and appropriately communicated both internally and externally.
This position reports directly to the Director of Legal and Compliance and offers flexibility within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What your role will look like:
- Act as the Group’s trusted point of contact on compliance matters, providing clear, actionable advice on a wide range of regulatory issues to senior stakeholders and business units
- Handle licensing applications, liaise with regulators, manage inspections, and respond to regulatory inquiries and audits
- Design, implement, and continuously enhance company-wide training programs to foster a strong culture of regulatory compliance at all levels of the organization
- Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks, particularly in relation to marketing, gaming operations, partnerships, and company assets
- Lead the development and evolution of the Group’s enterprise-wide risk management framework, including customer risk assessments, onboarding and monitoring processes, jurisdictional risk profiling, and business risk evaluations
- Oversee the full lifecycle of the Group’s internal compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are current, pragmatic, risk-aligned, and consistently applied across all markets and business verticals
- Develop and present compliance-related reports to senior management and the board, offering insights on regulatory changes and strategic responses
- Lead audit exercises, including internal audit planning, liaising with external and internal auditors, and maintaining all necessary documentation and controls
- Manage relationships with external regulatory advisors and authorities, ensuring the Group is well-represented and proactive in its regulatory interactions
- Provide up-to-date regulatory intelligence and strategic compliance guidance tailored to the Group’s operating jurisdictions, including new market entry and regulatory change impact assessments
- Establish and monitor robust internal control systems to detect, prevent, and remediate breaches of regulatory obligations or internal standards, with clear escalation and reporting protocols
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks affecting the Group, including but not limited to remote gambling and responsible gambling legislation, anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, anti-bribery and corruption laws, sanctions, and cybersecurity requirements
- Evaluate and implement technology-driven compliance solutions that enhance automation, efficiency, and scalability, particularly in areas such as KYC, transaction monitoring, supplier onboarding, and due diligence
- Collaborate closely with the Legal team to align compliance strategies with contractual, licensing, and broader legal risk considerations
- Work closely with commercial, technical, and operations teams to ensure compliance is embedded into product design, market launches, and ongoing operations without hindering innovation or growth
- Lead and inspire the Compliance function, fostering a high-performing, agile team culture centered on integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Provide mentorship and structured career development to compliance team members, ensuring effective succession planning and a strong talent pipeline
- Stay ahead of emerging regulatory trends, industry best practices, and enforcement priorities to ensure the Group maintains a proactive and forward-thinking approach to compliance
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in compliance and regulatory roles, ideally within iGaming, or fintech environments
- In-depth knowledge of global gaming regulations, with hands-on experience navigating key jurisdictions such as Estonia, Ontario (AGCO), Curaçao, and other relevant markets
- A subject-matter expert in AML, KYC, and responsible gaming—not just familiar with the terms, but someone who applies them instinctively and strategically
- Demonstrated experience engaging with regulators, auditors, and legal counsel in complex, high-pressure situations
- A proven people leader who can inspire teams, foster collaboration, and influence senior leadership with confidence and credibility
- A legal background or law degree is an advantage, but deep compliance expertise and operational experience are the priority
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a strong plus
- Professional compliance certifications such as ACAMS, ICA, or equivalent are highly desirable and reflect a commitment to excellence in the field.
