Role/Department Description: Join FactSet’s innovative Automation team, where you will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies and solutions. Our team fosters a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and the exchange of ideas. As an intern, you will contribute to projects focused on automating security processes, developing reliable tools, and enhancing overall security operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of automation tools and orchestration solutions to streamline security workflows.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers to identify and implement automation opportunities that optimize resources and reduce costs.
  • Participate in designing scalable and robust enterprise-grade applications to improve security team efficiency.
  • Support the evaluation and integration of industry-standard orchestration solutions through prototypes and proof-of-concepts (POCs).
  • Contribute to research on emerging technologies that can creatively address challenges faced by the security team.
  • Help document and transfer support of applications to operational teams.
  • Engage actively in cybersecurity engineering discussions, offering insights and contributions from a developer perspective.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and propose enhancements to existing security tools.

Required Skills:

  • Students pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with web development using frameworks like VueJS, AngularJS, or ReactJS.
  • Basic understanding of REST API development and web server technologies.
  • Knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
