At Digital Hands, we’re on a mission to elevate cybersecurity, empowering organizations to defend against complex cyber threats. Reporting to the VP of Security Operations, we’re looking for an experienced Director of Firewall Management and Security Administration to lead our talented team of security administrators and service desk specialists. This leadership role is essential in shaping and managing our firewall and security operations, ensuring our clients are always one step ahead of evolving threats.

Things You’ll Do

  • Lead a High-Performance Team: Manage and mentor network security teams, driving firewall management and security operations with a focus on threat mitigation and proactive network defense.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Oversee daily firewall security operations, ensuring optimal protection through well-maintained policies, rules, and configurations, while optimizing resource use for efficiency and compliance.
  • Enhance Network Security: Implement and manage technologies like BGP and SD-WAN to strengthen security and connectivity, ensuring best practices in firewall management, network segmentation, and secure solutions.
  • Foster Continuous Improvement: Encourage innovation in firewall and network security operations, streamlining processes to enhance protection and drive operational best practices.
  • Leverage Data for Decision-Making: Analyze security logs and network performance metrics to identify trends, assess risks, and enhance the overall security posture.
  • Standardize Security Practices: Develop and enforce efficient policies and processes for firewall management, ensuring alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client SLAs.
  • Champion Cybersecurity Excellence: Stay ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats and lead efforts to proactively address risks, including zero-day vulnerabilities.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience leading security teams and managing firewalls in an MSSP or large-scale enterprise security environment.
  • Strong experience managing enterprise firewalls, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, and Check Point.
  • Knowledge of BGP, SD-WAN networks, and other networking protocols to enhance security and connectivity.
  • Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, and email security is a plus.
  • Ability to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and security risks while leading proactive security measures.
