What you’ll do:
- Leadership & Management: Lead and develop the IT team, fostering a collaborative environment with internal and external stakeholders
- Project Management: Oversee IT projects, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
- System Administration & Security: Maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security through regular audits and risk assessments.
- Budget and Vendor Management: Develop and manage the IT budget, collaborate with vendors, and negotiate contracts for quality IT services.
- Process Documentation & Improvement: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems and processes, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

What you’ll get working here:
Salary: $125,000-155,000 annually to start (depending on qualifications), plus annual performance incentives

What you bring to this role:
Must haves for this job:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: 7+ years in IT management, with strong project management and system administration background.
- Leadership: 5+ years of people management experience, with strong leadership and team management skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in network management, server administration, IT security protocols, cloud computing, virtualization technologies, data warehouse, business intelligence platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Project Management: Proven experience in planning, executing, and monitoring IT projects.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex IT issues.
- Background Screening: Ability to pass identity verification, education verification, criminal history checks, motor vehicle record (MVR) checks, and drug screening, in compliance with local laws.

Position Title: Information Systems (IT) Manager
Department: Information Systems (IT)
Reports to: Reports to Director of ITFLSA
Status: Exempt Exemption: Administrative
EEOC Class: First/Mid-Level Officials and Managers
Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 annual, plus incentives ($125,000 - $155,000)
Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of the IT Manager is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the effective and efficient delivery of IT services and solutions. The IT Manager leads and manages the IT team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities. Additionally, the IT Manager maintains the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring accurate documentation of IT systems and processes, effective execution of IT projects, and successful implementation of security protocols. As a key member of the IT department, the IT Manager supports the achievement of organizational goals by contributing to strategic decisions and spearheading initiatives that enhance productivity and reduce business continuity risks.
Essential Functions:
Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage members of the IT team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement training programs.
Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with the review committee to prioritize requests based on organizational needs.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary.
System Administration:
- Assist the systems administration team in managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and software applications.
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
Security:
- Implement and maintain security protocols in accordance with Sprague’s policies to protect the organization's data and IT assets.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments.
Budget Management:
- Help develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and resource allocation.
- Monitor expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery of IT services.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Strategic Planning:
- Assist the IT team in developing and implementing IT strategies that align with the organization's goals.
- Identify emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the organization.
- Documentation:
- Work with the IT team to maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure documentation is accessible and comprehensible to relevant stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT management, with a strong background in project management and system administration.
- Leadership: 5+ years of people management experience. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in network management, server administration, and IT security protocols.
- Experience with cloud computing and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with data warehouse and business intelligence platforms
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
- Ability and aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite and other technology necessary for successful day-to-day functioning in a business environment.
- Project Management: Proven experience in managing IT projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex IT issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:
