Sr. Engineer- XSOAR | On-Site, Bangalore

An engineer must be driven and proactive with the ability to problem-solve, communicate, participate in diverse project teams from a technical perspective, and interface effectively with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues.

How you'll make an impact

To excel as a Cortex XSOAR developer, you need a blend of technical skills, including proficiency in scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell, along with a solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts and the XSOAR platform itself. 
Scripting Languages:Python: Strong Python skills are highly valuable, as it's a primary language for developing playbooks and integrations within XSOAR. 
JavaScript: Knowledge of JavaScript is also useful, especially for creating UI components and interacting with the XSOAR platform. 
PowerShell: While less common, PowerShell proficiency can be beneficial for automating tasks in Windows environments. 
XSOAR Platform Knowledge: Advanced Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Cortex XSOAR platform, including its architecture, features, and capabilities, is crucial. 
Playbook Development: Experience in creating and maintaining XSOAR playbooks is essential. 
Integration Development: The ability to develop and integrate with external systems and tools is a valuable asset. 
Cybersecurity Fundamentals: Incident Processing: A strong understanding of incident processing, cyber-attack techniques, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures is important. 
Threat Intelligence: Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms and feeds can enhance your ability to develop effective playbooks. 
Other Technical Skills:
REST/SOAP/WSDL/XML: Understanding of web services and APIs is helpful for integrating with external systems. 
JSON: Experience with JSON data objects is beneficial for working with XSOAR's data structures. 
Documentation: The ability to create clear and concise documentation for XSOAR playbooks and integrations is important. 
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for debugging and troubleshooting issues.

What we're looking for 

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field is required
• 5+ years of expert-level proficiency with Python
• 5+ years of working knowledge of Security related scripting, Python, SOAP/REST APIs, JSON, HTML/CSS, Javascript, XML
• 4+ years of experience with SOAR platforms such as Swimlane, Phantom, Cortex XSOAR, Exabeam SOAR, ThreatConnect SOAR, etc
• Authored SOC SOPs, playbooks, work instructions, and/or other process documents
• Familiarity with Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and/or Elastic Domain Specific Language (DSL) and/or regex
• Communication: The ability to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner is important for collaborating with other team members. 
• Soft Skills: Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions. 
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve technical issues. 
• Documentation Skills: Ability to create clear and concise documentation. 
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information effectively. 
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with other team members. 
• Passion for Security Automation: A genuine interest in security automation and the XSOAR platform can help you stay motivated and engaged. 
• Ready to relocate to Bangalore
• Ready to work in US Hours ( 5 pm to 2 AM IST )
