What you'll be doing
As the Service Manager, Threat Detection & Response, you will elevate CIBC’s intelligence-driven security monitoring and response capabilities. You will centralize enhancements in a backlog format and develop roadmaps to inform and drive business-led initiatives that reduce and mitigate cyber risks for our bank. You will ensure that feedback from internal clients is collected, prioritized, and delivered using industry-proven security best practices. Your technical expertise and business knowledge will be instrumental in defining the future iterations of our Threat Detection & Response program.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role you’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How you’ll succeed
Threat Detection and Response for the Enterprise – Provide strategic thought leadership, building, maintaining and delivering on our bank’s cyber security data framework, vision and roadmap. This includes leveraging CIBC proprietary and industry best-practices and standards. Execute and deliver initiatives with agility and quality
Teamwork and Relationship building – Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including Internal Audit, Risk Management, Control Testers, Legal and external regulatory departments. The role requires frequent managerial interaction with architecture, engineering, security operations, risk management, auditors, external consultants and executives.
Strategy - Gain and nurture executive support for Threat Detection & Response initiatives through the creation of business cases, appraising senior and executive management and participating in strategy and roadmap development.
Leadership - Provide overall leadership for the management of cyber security data and provide reporting of insights to the executive team.
Service Delivery and Communication– Support service health management of services, product backlogs, service rollout and continuous improvement. Effectively identify and assess cyber security data & events, manage and communicate issues. Share regular reports and key insights with the executive team.
Who you are
You can demonstrate experience in Information Security within large enterprise, with an emphasis in one or more of the following areas: Security Operations, Security Monitoring, Security Analytics, Data Leakage Prevention, Security or Technology Service Management.
You maintain an industry recognized certification such as GMLE, GSEC, GCIH, GCIA, CISSP, CCSP, or any equivalent professional certifications.
