Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Forensics Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting digital forensic investigations, preserving evidence, and supporting incident response efforts. This role is critical in ensuring the integrity and security of our systems and data.

Responsibilities

· Perform digital forensic investigations, including data acquisition, analysis, and preservation of evidence.

· Investigate security incidents such as data breaches, malware infections, and insider threats to determine the scope and impact.

· Collect and analyze evidence from various sources, including computers, mobile devices, logs, and network traffic.

· Work closely with incident response teams to provide technical expertise during investigations and remediation efforts.

· Document findings and prepare detailed investigation reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Ensure the integrity and chain-of-custody of digital evidence throughout the investigation process.

· Collaborate with legal, compliance, and law enforcement teams when necessary.

· Stay current with emerging forensic tools, techniques, and cyber threats to enhance investigation capabilities.

· Support the development of policies and procedures related to digital forensics and incident response.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, or a related field.

· At least 3 years of experience in digital forensics, incident response, or a related role.

· Proficiency in forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, or Sleuth Kit.

· Strong knowledge of forensic analysis methodologies and techniques.

· Experience with log analysis, malware analysis, and evidence collection.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

· Relevant certifications such as GCFA, GCIH, CCFP, or CHFI are preferred.
