Information about the position 

As a Senior Staff Engineer in Security at Vinted, you will join the Security Leadership team and provide support across the company. Collaborating with the Senior Director of Security, Senior Technical Program Manager, and leaders from Group Security, Marketplace Security, and VintedPay, you will develop and implement technical solutions to protect the organization from both external and internal threats, while also delivering product features that protect Vinted's members. The ideal candidate can align engineers and leaders to create and implement a long-term technical security strategy.

In this position, you’ll 

• Set technological vision for the Group Security and Business Units in Vinted; 
• Support the security leadership when setting strategic direction, objectives and priorities; Define strategy and bring clarity to the implementation of the technological vision;
• Keep an overview of how the technological vision is being implemented; identify and help resolve issues;
• Lead programs to achieve milestones and objectives and navigate challenges related to cross-functional security needs;
• Co-create and maintain internal quality standards; work with Product, Engineering, IT, Compliance and other organizations to balance security risk with product advancement;
• Provide security guidance to stakeholders external to the security team, facilitating company-wide adoption of best practices and helping maintain open lines of communication; help other domains to reach common goals through technical solutions;
• Achieve results by enabling and guiding others;
• Align with other senior staff engineers to maintain a broad view of activities across the organisation;
• Identify and coordinate security risks across the organisation;
• Guide engineering teams when implementing security-related solutions;
• Engage with the security community to learn about and bring cutting-edge best practices to the engineering program.

About you

• Proven experience in a senior or lead-level role;

• Experience implementing security best practices in complex environments without compromising business needs;
• Experience with designing and implementing complex projects with multiple stakeholders cross-functionally;

The salary range for this position is €9,250 - €12,516 gross per month.
