The IT Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing and implementing the overall technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role involves developing enterprise-wide architecture frameworks, guiding digital transformation initiatives, and optimizing IT infrastructure and application portfolios. The IT Enterprise Architect works closely with executives, IT leaders, and cross-functional teams to enhance scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, including business, application, data, and technology architecture.
- Ensure IT strategies align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Establish architectural principles, standards, and roadmaps to support business agility and innovation.
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend solutions that drive digital transformation.
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT infrastructure, cloud environments, and data platforms.
- Optimize the application portfolio by evaluating legacy systems, recommending modernization strategies, and enabling integration across platforms.
- Work closely with business leaders, product teams, and IT stakeholders to define technical requirements and ensure architectural alignment.
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to embed security by design in enterprise solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to IT teams, ensuring consistent implementation of enterprise architecture principles.
- Establish governance frameworks for IT decision-making, architecture reviews, and technical debt management.
- Evaluate new technology trends, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cybersecurity advancements, Serverless Computing, and Industry Cloud Platforms, to assess their impact on the enterprise.
- Foster a culture of innovation by driving proof-of-concepts, pilots, and technology adoption.
Requirements:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in IT architecture, enterprise solutions, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP), microservices architecture, and modern integration patterns (APIs, event-driven architecture).
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle ERP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) and their integration into enterprise architectures.
- Knowledge of security architecture (e.g., Zero Trust, Defense-in-Depth, Identity & Access Management (IAM)), compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA), and risk management frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, FAIR, CIS Controls, COBIT).
- Proficiency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with global teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to define IT strategies, optimize enterprise systems, and drive technology standardization.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
- Certifications of enterprise architecture, such as TOGAF® Certification (Open Group) or Certified Enterprise Architect (CEA).
- Certifications of cloud architecture, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Certifications of security architecture, such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or GIAC Enterprise Security Architect (GDSA).
- Certifications of risk and compliance, such as CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or COBIT 2019 Foundation.
- Certifications of DevOps and automation, such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, Microsoft Certified DevOps Engineer Expert, or HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate.
- Certifications of ERP systems, such as SAP Certified Technology Associate, Oracle ERP Cloud Certification, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Fundamentals.
- Experience in digital transformation, cloud migration, or large-scale IT modernization projects.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, automation tools, and enterprise data management strategies.
