Job Title: Cybersecurity Research Engineer
Grade: Researcher / Senior Research Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Software design and development of prototypes based on recent research and new concepts in IT/OT security.

• Setting-up collaboration environment and framework for cybersecurity related research and opensource development projects.

• Design and develop different architectural models for security testing, zero trust, defense in depth security.

• Collaborate with security subject matter experts (SMEs), business units and develop solutions to address customer challenges.

• Implement the application solving customer’s issue by applying advanced algorithms and AI/ML technologies.

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand technical needs.

• Set-up big data environment that helps establish rapid POCs and prototype developments on both on-premises and cloud-based platforms.

• Experienced in information systems requirements definition, software design and development, and testing/deployment of systems.

• Keep up to date with state of the art in the industry.

Skills:

• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity product development and usage.

• Expertise in one or more of IT/OT security, SIEMs, threat analysis, OSINT, experience with PSIRT/CSIRT/CERTs, AI/ML for security information processing.

• Experience in C/C++/Python/Rust programming.

• Experience in OSS integration and version control/GitHub.

• Knowledge of industry standards and trends.

• Good communication, logical thinking, and presentation skills

Experience: 3+ years

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with substantial industry experience of 5 years or more of software development/testing/reverse engineering/network administration.

Additional qualifications (preferred but not mandatory):

• Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent with at least 5 years industry experience of solution architecting/problem solving/data analytics.

• Experience with technical paper writing.

• Substantial industry experience in developing prototypes and demonstrating PoCs.
