About the Role:

We are seeking Cyber Security Apprentice / Information Security Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing security measures to protect our computer systems, networks, and data. This includes conducting threat modeling, risk assessments, and researching new technologies to effectively protect our network. You will also be responsible for developing plans to safeguard confidential data and for communicating with users about data access needs, security violations and exceptions.

Responsibilities and Impact

  • Assist in escalating and managing divisional cyber security risks.

  • Support the prioritization and mitigation of identified vulnerabilities within the business division, collaborating with platform teams.

  • Partner with control functions to support audits and assessments.

  • Help perform management testing to assess control effectiveness and document results.

  • Contribute to the review of standards, policies, and procedures, supporting compliance guidelines.

  • Assist in performing application risk assessments and responding to internal audit and client requests.

  • Support the onboarding of developers for secure code training.

Compensation/Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85 to $94 K. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Experience with programing languages such as Java and Python.

  • Familiarity with application security and vulnerability management concepts.

  • Interest in learning about threat modeling and software security architecture.

  • Eagerness to develop skills in penetration testing and security techniques.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Familiarity with penetration testing and exposure to offensive or defensive security techniques.

  • Familiarity with the MITRE ATT&CK Framework and OWASP Top 10.
