Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Electromatic Environmental Effects (E3) and Product Security Engineering (PSE) Senior Manager on the Air Dominance\Phantom Works, Air Proprietary 1 (AP1) Program located in Berkeley, MO

In this role, you will lead your team to work across numerous engineering teams and products as part of a high performing, cross functional team building next generation, state-of-the-art Weapon System capability.

This position will directly report to the AP1 Systems Engineering Integration Team (SEIT) Leader and be a member of the AP1 SEIT leadership team. This position will plan, organize and direct all E3 and PSE activities for design, development, fabrication, delivery and test of the AP1 Weapon System. A successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership in the scope of the E3 or PSE domains, as well as technical planning and cost/schedule management. As Team lead, the successful candidate will hold RAA (responsibility, accountability and authority) to complete all E3 and PSE statement of work and deliverables for the program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct and ensure technical excellence of all work associated with E3 and PSE contracted requirements and deliverables

  • Provide managerial and technical leadership in the development of E3 and PSE solutions utilizing Model Based Systems Engineering and modern Digital Engineering tools and practices

  • Work with applicable subject matter experts and teams to implement E3 and PSE technical approaches and ensures adherence to applicable engineering standards and processes across the weapon system

  • Work closely with all applicable functions and other program product teams to provide necessary people/skills, facility and information technology resources to execute statement of work according to cost and schedule commitments

  • Establish strong relationships with program customers and stakeholders. Orchestrate collaborative sessions, facilitating discussions among government customers, pilots, and product engineers to refine program requirements and enhance product designs

  • Establish and execute team operating rhythm and integrate with program operating rhythm to align teammates and efficiently disseminate information/direction

  • Develop, track and communicate metrics to quantify technical and business performance, and organize all cost account management and analysis for the E3 & PSE Team

  • Proactively perform risk, issue and opportunity management

  • Develop and perpetuate a team culture of transparency, collaboration and inclusion

Position requires the ability to travel 15% of the time.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location site, Berkeley MO.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Ability to obtain Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):  

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a STEM field

  • 10+ years related work experience

  • Experience managing team and leading development of complex military systems

  • Experience building relationships and partnering with customers and all levels of employees, including executives

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

Summary pay range: $155,550 - $210,450
