Job Description
AstraZeneca is looking for Sr. Network Security Engineer to Assist on Network projects with a persistent focus on Automation. This team is the point of contact for all critical network issues in AstraZeneca manufacturing sites and AstraZeneca offices globally. This team is responsible for providing end-to-end support for the AstraZeneca network infrastructure which includes LAN, WAN, Wireless LAN, Firewall, Load balancer and Proxy services.
Sr. Network Security Engineer is part of the NRE team in a Scaled Agile operating model. As a Sr. Network Security Engineer, you are responsible for facilitating Network Security Projects, Operations and Automation. The team monitors and maintains the network Security and platforms, delivering the highest possible service levels. They also ensure that changes to the network and infrastructure are planned, coordinated, approved, and implemented to meet the agreed dates for service provision, and project builds are completed on time.
In addition, Sr. Network Security Engineer is responsible for problem management for our network Security infrastructure to include coordinating with other engineering and support organizations, and vendors to drive solutions.
Accountabilities
- Conduct regular security assessments, including penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, to identify and remediate potential security risks.
- Design and implement secure network architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
- Adhere to enterprise governance & review processes to deliver project goals & work you're doing.
- Follow enterprise ITSM & CMDB processes.
- Supervise and analyse security alerts using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams to develop and carry out identity and access management (IAM) policies and network access control (NAC) solutions.
- Stay abreast of the latest security threats, industry trends, and standard processes to proactively improve the organization's network security posture.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards and assist in audit processes as needed.
Requirements
- A bachelorâs degree from an accredited university.
- Typically, 8-10 years of Experience supporting large scaler enterprise level network infrastructure.
- Bachelorâs degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Shown experience in network security, with a solid understanding of network security fundamentals, encryption technologies, and secure network design principles.
- Zscaler Private Access & Internet Access
- Proficiency in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewalls. Cisco, Palo Alto etc.
- Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems, as well as with SIEM tools and security incident response.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse collaborators.
- CERTIFICATIONS: (any of below)
- Cisco Certified Network Professional/Expert in Security
- Zscaler Digital Transformation Administrator
- Zscaler Zero Trust Certified Associate
- Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate or Professional
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
- Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA)
- Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
- Certified Network Security Professional (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+)
Desirable
- CCIE, CCTE+ or other Industry recognized expert level certifications
- Experience as an Escalation Engineer or L3 Network Engineer.
- Passion to work on core technology platform.
- ITIL training / service management accreditation.
- Ability to work well in diverse, multinational teams and demonstrable ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes.
