SOX IT Testing Specialist

Working within the Governance, Risk and Compliance function the role will:

  • Prepare, Plan, Execute and Report IT General Controls and Automated Controls for in scope systems to support management SOX Testing

  • Liaise with the control owners to support testing.

  • Assist in developing remediation plans

  • Support SOX Managers in other SOX compliance related activities

Key Responsibilities:

The SOX Testing Specialist has the following responsibilities within the GRC SOX Service:

  • Preparing for and executing ITGC testing, including automated controls, and key reports for management SOX Testing

  • Tracking and reporting progress and completion of testing during each cycle

  • Contributing to the development of control tests

  • Developing understanding of Tech processes, risks & controls

  • Supporting GRC SOX Manager and Control Owners to develop strong remediation plans and confirm successful remediation

  • Supporting GRC SOX Manager with assessment of new applications/tools/technologies coming into scope (AI, RPA etc)

  • Supporting GRC SOX Manager in liaising with external auditors during testing phases and ongoing throughout the year

Basic qualifications:

  • Experience in ITGC SOX controls testing

  • Proven capability in Risk Management and Internal Controls

  • Experience of applying critical thinking to identify issues and risks, and facilitate the generation of remediation plans

  • Proven experience working and influencing cross functionally

  • Strong and clear communication skills – verbal and written

  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience of SAP S4 HANA or other ERP / Financial applications.

  • Experience of IDAM tools such as SailPoint and CyberArk applications.

  • Experience of Azure Cloud, Data lakes, and other SaaS solutions

  • ISO27001, CISA, CRISC, CISM
