Summary of Position:
Reporting to the Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations, the Manager of Infrastructure and Security is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s infrastructure environments, both on-premise and cloud-based, ensuring their scalability, security, and optimal performance. This role will involve developing and implementing strategies to safeguard the organization’s network, systems, and data against security threats while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Manager of Infrastructure and Security will lead a team of technical professionals, guiding them in securing network infrastructure, managing security protocols, and driving initiatives to enhance system reliability, disaster recovery, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
○ Oversee and optimize on-premise and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, VMware).
○ Ensure the performance, scalability, and reliability of server environments, network infrastructure, and virtualized systems.
○ Manage and maintain web servers, databases, and other key infrastructure components.
○ Design, implement, and manage security protocols across the organization’s infrastructure.
○ Administer firewalls, VPNs (SecurePoint, WatchGuard), and other security tools to protect against threats.
○ Lead efforts in threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
○ Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
○ Foster a collaborative work environment and ensure the team meets organizational goals.
○ Work with IT and business units to align infrastructure and security strategies with organizational objectives.
○ Develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
○ Oversee backup strategies to ensure quick recovery in the event of system failure.
○ Implement monitoring systems to track the health of infrastructure, networks, and security systems.
○ Report on infrastructure and security status, identifying risks and recommending improvements.
○ Ensure the resolution of incidents and maintain comprehensive documentation.
○ Ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements (PCI, HIPAA, SOC 2/3).
○ Manage risk assessments and help develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
○ Keep up-to-date with emerging security threats and regulatory changes.
○ Manage vendor relationships, selecting and procuring infrastructure and security tools.
○ Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve infrastructure performance and security.

Required Skills & Experience:
○ Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, VMware, and virtualization technologies.
○ Proficiency in managing on-premise infrastructure (server management, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory).
○ Experience with web server administration (Apache, Nginx) and backup solutions (Veeam, Avamar).
○ Strong understanding of security principles, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption technologies.
○ Knowledge of securing both on-premise and cloud environments.
○ Familiarity with PCI, HIPAA, SOC 2/3 compliance standards.
○ Proven experience managing and mentoring technical teams.
○ Excellent communication and project management skills.
○ Ability to drive collaboration across cross-functional teams.
