Responsibilities & Qualifications

This contract supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its component agency, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), in advancing its mission to protect the nation and respond to emergencies effectively. Specifically, it focuses on enhancing and sustaining FEMA’s Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Operations Portfolio.

The mission centers around the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of IT systems and services that are critical to FEMA’s ability to deliver emergency management capabilities. This includes ensuring continuous system availability, security, modernization, and operational efficiency to support FEMA’s mission-critical programs and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Oversee enterprise-level IT operations, including:
• Virtualized infrastructure
• Network Operations Center (NOC)
• Security Operations Center (SOC)
• Manage and ensure the smooth execution of complex IT projects related to infrastructure migration and cloud services.
• Design, implement, and manage operational processes and procedures to ensure reliable IT service delivery.
• Oversee critical components such as networks, servers, databases, and security protocols.
• Ensure compliance with:
• Industry standards
• Regulatory requirements
• Cybersecurity best practices
• Disaster recovery protocols
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and align engineering efforts with FEMA’s strategic goals.
• Drive continuous improvement to ensure mission-critical service reliability and support emergency response operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Experience:
• Proven experience managing IT enterprise operations and leading technical projects in cloud and infrastructure.
• Certifications (must have one or more of the following):
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• Professional Cloud Solutions Architect Certification
• Multi-Cloud Certification (AWS, GCP, OCI, Azure)
• Clearance:
• Must obtain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting work US Citizenship
