A fantastic opportunity exists to join Zurich’s Audit team as an IT Audit Manager, reporting to the Head of Audit.
You will be part of a strong team that forms our global Audit function of 250 colleagues across 33 different countries, united in the common purpose of keeping Zurich safe.
The IT Audit Manager is a unique role that will be a fusion of IT and Operations audits, utilizing your technical expertise to oversee the end-to-end delivery of a portfolio of audit engagements in collaboration with teams across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. Liaising with a range of stakeholders, you will provide valuable insights and help to drive excellent audit outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing subject matter expertise and insight across audit processes, including scoping, audit reports and critical stakeholder meetings
- Participating on risk‐based IT and Integrated audit activities designed to identify key risks and evaluate the effectiveness of IT governance, IT risk management, and IT control processes.
- Having the ability to operate with a minimum supervision on more straightforward assignments, subject to guidance when required and subsequent review.
- Perform fieldwork activities, including interviews of clients, inspection of evidence and observations of complex IT control procedures
- Overseeing relevant tracking and closure of agreed actions
- Supporting the global IT Centre of Excellence to continuously evolve IT capabilities in Group Audit and drive the development of the wider team through upskilling initiatives
- Identifying trends and patterns in results, supporting & influencing key stakeholders to ensure a deep understanding of the risks faced by the organization
- Providing technical input into control environment reporting. Building technical knowledge and industry awareness across a range of areas
- Supporting Business Audit Leaders in stakeholder discussions; developing strong relationships with Business and IT stakeholders
- Guiding, coaching, and supervising the work of the team throughout the audit engagement
Important to your success - Unlock your potential
- University degree. Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM or equivalent
- Strong experience in Audit / Technology/ IT Risk Management (+ 5 years) or significant experience in insurance business positions (+ 5 years)
- Knowledge of the Italian regulation (eg. IVASS)
- Deep knowledge and competence across all IT domains paired with data analytics skills;
- Track record with technology and governance controls for Cloud, Data Management, Cyber Security and new technologies (such as Robotics and Artificial Intelligence)
- Experience in third-party, outsourcing and project management auditing
- Strong knowledge of Internal Audit Standards, internal control framework and audit testing
- Excellent project management skills, ability to organize teams and prioritize tasks
- A collaborative and solution focused mindset with the ability to influence
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English and Italian
Work location is Milan. Not excluded travel within Europe
