Sr. Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for deploying new security technologies as well as monitoring and mantaining the existing security architecture for Office 365, Azure, AWS and other cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support cloud initiatives for all managed security systems/ platforms
  • Evaluation of new cloud product lines and features
  • Level-of-effort assesments for various projects and deriverables
  • Management and cultivation of vendor relationships
  • Understand vendor roadmaps and release schedules, and collaborate and align with Product Management on internal roadmaps
  • Champion AWS, Azure, and Office 365 within Platform Engineering and other teams
  • Develop standards, operating procedures, tools
  • Mantein lab environments / cloud infraestructure to enable development and maintenance of cloud security offerings, including planning for cost effectiveness and growth
  • Configure and support Virtual Private Clouds in AWS and Virtual Networks in Azure
  • Develop automation and orchestration tools
  • Track and execute on vendor support renewals
  • Develop documentation and training for on-boarding and service delivery teams
  • Provide cloud subject matter expertise to multiple internat teams
  • Top tier escalation support for on-boarding based teams,
  • Track project deliverables, and report on status/ exceptions
  • Anticipate operational issues and develop preventative measures

Qualifications

  • Experience with the AWS, Office 365 and Azure environments is required
  • Experience with Cloudflare, Azure Devops, Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Intune and Recorded Future threat & SecOps tools is a plus
  • Certification in AWS, Office 365 and Azure is preferred
  • Strong technical background in cloud, security, and networking technologies, with a solid understanding in network security management, firewall/UTM, intrusion detection, and application layer firewalls
  • Expertise with IPsec, VPN, routing protocols, SSH, Storage, network monitoring / troubleshooting tools and concepts
  • Experience using Python, Ansible, and Perl for automation strongly preferred
  • In depth knowledge of Linux/ Unix and Windows as related to security
  • Test and analysis equipment such as protocol analyzer, LAN/WAN sniffers
  • Proven ability to drive key initiatives, with minial direction
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal and client service skills
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal, for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong personal framework for consistency, accuracy and repeatable deliverables
  • Strong problem solving skills, providing solutions in a systematic and clear manner, easily understood and followed by subordinates and colleagues
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering collaboration, innovation, creativity, and team work
  • Vendor/ Industry certifications i.e. Cisco/Check Point/Juniper/SANS etc. preferred
  • Working knowledge of the ITIL framework 
  • On-Call availability outside of normal business hours

Additional Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor´s degree in Computer Information Systems, related field, or its equivalent experience, required
  • Minimum of five to seven years´of network, security and systems experience
  • Minimum of one professional level certification and/or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of security, cloud and AWS or Azure experience
  • Work experience with Cisco, Active Directory, Okta, single sign on (SSO) applications, Nagios, Splunk, Office 365, VMWare, Windows Server 2008/2012, IDS, SEIM, vulnerability scanning tools, and other security focused tools preferred
  • CISSP Cert Required
