Compensation Pay Range:

$110,000.00 - $165,000.00

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.  Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

The Senior Information Security Engineer – Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a strategic leader and technical expert responsible for securing the organization’s most critical digital assets. This role demands a proactive, forward-thinking professional with a deep passion for enterprise security and a commitment to enforcing best-in-class IAM standards. The engineer will architect, implement, and manage scalable, secure IAM solutions that protect user identities, govern access privileges, and ensure compliance across complex systems and applications. Acting as a key guardian of digital trust, this individual will drive continuous improvements in security posture, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation across the enterprise.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Collaborate with stakeholders, security teams, and application owners to understand business requirements and design effective IAM solutions. This includes designing user provisioning/deprovisioning processes, authentication mechanisms, and authorization models.

• Manages and leads complex projects and assumes ongoing support of security operations and systems.

• Configure and deploy IAM systems, tools, and technologies, such as identity providers, access management platforms, and single sign-on solutions. Ensure seamless integration with existing infrastructure and applications while adhering to industry best practices and security standards.

• Develop and implement user provisioning and deprovisioning workflows, including user onboarding, role-based access control, and account termination processes. Regularly review and update access rights and permissions to maintain least privilege principles and comply with regulatory requirements.

• Establish access policies and controls, perform access reviews, and enforce segregation of duties to mitigate risks related to unauthorized access and data breaches. Implement identity governance tools to automate and streamline access certification and audit processes.

• Monitor and respond to security incidents related to IAM systems, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement security controls to safeguard user identities and sensitive information. Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks and industry standards.

• Manage IAM systems, including user directories, identity repositories, and access management platforms. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to user authentication, access provisioning, and identity synchronization.

• Maintain accurate documentation of IAM processes, configurations, and system changes. Provide training and support to end-users, administrators, and development teams on IAM policies, procedures, and best practices.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Cybersecurity or equivalent experience

• 5-7 years of broad experience in Information Security, experience supporting security components and applying security best practices across an enterprise application/network infrastructure

• Proven experience working as an IAM Engineer or in a similar role, designing and implementing IAM solutions.

• Experience with IAM technologies, such as identity providers (Okta, Azure AD, Ping Identity), access management platforms, and directory services (Active Directory, LDAP).

• Familiarity with cloud-based IAM solutions and integration with SaaS applications.

• Knowledge of identity governance tools and access certification processes.

• Experience leading complex projects in a collaborative environment • Exceptional problem solving, communication, and customer service skills.

• Highly self-motivated and directed

Desired: 

Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, IAM certifications)
