As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for cloud deployments, focusing on security, observability, cost optimization, and efficient deployment strategies. You’ll work with a large-scale infrastructure consisting of 5000+ EC2 instances and 200+ microservices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
1. Design and implement infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
2. Maintain and improve existing infrastructure code for AWS and Azure deployments
3. Create reusable modules and templates for common infrastructure patterns
4. Implement infrastructure testing and validation procedures

• Cloud Infrastructure Management
1. Manage large-scale deployments across multiple cloud providers (AWS and Azure)
2. Implement and maintain auto-scaling solutions for various services
3. Design and implement high-availability configurations
4. Optimize resource utilization and infrastructure costs
• Security & Compliance
1. Implement security best practices in infrastructure code
2. Manage IAM roles, policies, and security groups
3. Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
4. Participate in security audits and implement recommendations
• Observability & Monitoring
1. Set up monitoring and alerting systems for infrastructure and applications
2. Implement logging solutions for large-scale distributed systems
3. Create and maintain dashboards for system metrics
4. Assist in troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Cost Optimization
1. Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs
2. Implement cost allocation tags and reporting
3. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities
4. Regular review and optimization of resource utilization

Required Skills:

• 1-3 years of experience in DevOps or similar role
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java)
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS)
• Basic understanding of Azure services
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (ECS/ Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
• Understanding of networking concepts and security practices

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with large-scale infrastructure management
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
• Understanding of cost optimization strategies in cloud environments
