Description
Alaska Northstar Resources is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Professional III to potentially join our team for a government program that may be awarded in the next 3-6 months.
The Cybersecurity Professional III will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Provide support for and ensure security of SCCA activities, including: maintain secure systems, operations, and infrastructures; maintain system integrity; maintain personnel security functions.
- Support security engineering efforts related to XaaS products and follow industry best practices such as DevSecOps and Agile.
- Provide cyber security engineering, RMF, and Security Manager support to include implementing security measures, conducting risk assessments, supporting DoD authorization and accreditation efforts, and developing strategies to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work with staff to ensure security requirements are met and integrated into the design and development of systems and applications.
Requirements
Candidate must be US Citizen
Candidate must have active DoD Secret Clearance at minimum.
Candidate must have an active 8570 IAM Level II certification. (CISSP, etc)
Candidate must have a bachelor's degree (OR additional years of experience in lieu of)
Candidate must have at least 10+ years experience with the following:
- Cybersecurity engineering and Risk Management desired.
- Informed about changes in RMF guidelines, NIST standards, and other relevant security frameworks to ensure compliance and recommend necessary updates to security processes and controls.
- Updated with the latest security technologies, industry trends, and emerging threats to provide proactive security recommendations.
- Possess the ability to communicate in both oral and written forms, demonstrating an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as clients.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense security requirements as applied to their subject matter expertise.
- Experience working in an Information Technology environment similar in size (or larger) and scope to this award.
- Strong working knowledge of large, complex Information Technology environments.
Work Environment
Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Occasional business travel may be required. Only requested and approved expenses will be covered by ANR.
