We are looking for an IT and Security System Administrator superstar to join our growing IT team in our offices in Malta.


The selected candidate will be responsible for the compliance, security, configuration, maintenance, and operation of the company's IT resources including network, servers, workstations, printers, and cloud services.

The ideal candidate will ensure that network, security and all related equipment are fully operational to accommodate all system users. This will also include any cloud services which may require any integration or management. What will you be doing?

  • Administer and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, and access rights,
  • Plan, deploy, and maintain desktops, peripherals, operating systems, as well as desktop applications in accordance with the change management process, industry and security best practices,
  • Develop and maintain procedures relevant to security and other industry requirements to protect systems from unauthorized use,
  • Ensure the stable operation, availability, reliability, and serviceability of the company's IT services, workstations, networks, and cloud environments.
  • Ensure minimum downtime and optimal performance through proactive planning, tuning, troubleshooting, problem diagnosis and monitoring.
  • Monitoring security events, log analysis, trends,
  • Maintain the IT asset register,
  • Make use of and improve the internal ticketing system,
  • Assist in nurturing a culture of data and network security within the organisation,
  • Collaborate with third party contractors to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes,
  • Perform system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies,
  • Provide orientation and training to end-users for all modified and new systems, including first line support to users.

Who are you?

  • Proficient with Microsoft and Google services,
  • First-hand experience with physical network equipment and end user devices,
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and log management, and incident management,
  • Exposure to RMM solutions is a plus,
  • Proficient with Windows, Mac and Linux client operating systems,
  • Knowledge in integrating cloud services and policies,
  • Knowledge of centrally managed security services such as anti-malware and mobile device management solutions,
  • Advanced knowledge of Internet technologies and concepts.
  • Experience in industry standard ticketing systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field,
  • Industry relevant certifications in Microsoft, Networking, Security or other network related fields are a must.
  • 4 to 5 years of security, network, or system administration experience,
  • Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols,
  • Relevant experience with Cloud Solutions including configuration, maintenance, and support,
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans,
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations and Security Best Practices, including knowledge of security, storage, data protection and disaster recovery protocols.
